Baker's 1st trip to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico!

My grandfather always corrected us when called the water at Panama City Beach the ocean..."it's the Gulf!" he would say.

Well, Baker, Eric and I went to the Gulf, May 1-6 with Aunt Jen and Uncle Jeremy. Jennifer's parents gave us their condo for the trip and what a treat! We are so thankful for their generosity.

Baker loved the sand, but wasn't too crazy about the waves crashing at his feet. The weather was great on Saturday and Sunday, but it was pretty overcast the rest of the trip. That was okay though. We found lost of other fun things to do.

This trip involved lots of first for Baker:
  • 1st trip to the beach
  • 1st "real" big sandbox
  • 1st time to ride a carousal and train
  • 1st time to eat at the Waffle House(Eric loves this first.)
  • 1st time to really eat bacon and hot dogs(there may still be some hope for this fruitatarian!)
  • 1st time to see a real alligator

This isn't the real gator. Check out those teeth!
We had a really bright day!

"Ready or not, here I come."

The boys build sand castles.

Baker loved the Carousal at Pier Park.

Baker, hold on tight!!!

"Wastin' away again in Margaritaville!"

Stay tuned...more to come. We are headed to the beach with April and the Gordons this weekend.
