Christmas 2009

So, finally I'm getting around to a post on Christmas. Wow!!! Life has been busy and I don't see it slowing down. The end of the year and the new year brought a fun time with family and friends, a renovated bathroom, and living and coping with the renovation(pics to come soon). With all that, we had a wonderful Christmas and are so thankful that we got to spend time with the ones we love. Baker loved talking about Santa and just last night he said to me, "Mama, I don't want to be naughty. I want Santa to hold me." And in that same conversation I was sure to tell him that Santa was watching him. I'm keeping the Santa magnet on the fridge all year long as a reminder!

Trinity Children's Christmas Eve Program. Baker got to be a cow in the manger.
Mooo!!! He was so excited!

This was a big highlight of for all of us. What an awesome way to see the Christmas story! After the Children's program we were able to make it to Come and Go communion where Baker sang Away in a Manger(really loud) as we approached the alter in a very quiet sanctuary where people were praying silently. There was a manger with Baby Jesus behind the alter. Talk about a "God Moment".

Christmas Eve hugs for Chief.

He is getting so big!

Santa really brought the Yellow Bow and Arrow! What a proud little boy. He had to be really good all year long for that.

Christmas at Nana and Granddaddy's. "Let's open these presents!"Granddaddy made Baker a Thomas the Train toy box! It's awesome!

Christmas night at Grandmama's and PawPaw's. What a fun day!!!
Apey was so sweet to give Baker a horsey hippity hop so he could be a REAL cowboy!

A new swing set from Grandmama and PawPaw! Yeah, come on Spring weather!

Paw Paw's Cowboy Shirt

Baker is wearing his Paw Paw's cowboy shirt from when he was a little boy. Thanks Sallie for saving it. Too fun!

Baker's 1st Big Boy Haircut!

Baker got his first real barber shop haircut on Halloween 2009. He was such a big boy and sat very still while he got a little trimmed of the back and sides. The big prize a the end was a yellow lollipop!

Yard work is my FAVE!

Let's get dirty!!!

Baker had a blast helping Daddy clean up the back yard a couple of weeks ago. Check out that mud!

Check out those boots!

Baker loves, loves, loves putting on Mommy's and Daddy's shoes and shuffling through the house. This morning he picked out Mommy's boots. Too funny!

Blow Mama a kiss!

A new kind of dance step! Watch out!

Baker's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Baker's 2nd Birthday the day after his real birthday (September 18). It was in the gym at Trinity UMC where the kids ran and played their little hearts out...I hope it produces some good afternoon naps. It was a 9am so we had some yummy breakfast food and of course, cupcakes and Grandmama's famous yellow cake with fudge icing! Baker had so much fun with his family and friends.

Setting up...don't forget the balloons.

Nana and Granddaddy help Baker read his birthday cards.

We may replace this picture if Aunt Lo got a better one! It's a little fuzzy!

Yum! Chocolate cupcake with yellow icing!!! Dig in b'day boy.

PawPaw built Baker a Table and Chairs for his b'day present. He loves this signature item. Baker uses it a million times a day!

It's been a long day!

Old Baker Farms 2009

What a GREAT day at Old Baker Farms in Harpersville, AL! We got to spend time and play with the Perez family and pick out our fall pumpkins. There were so many fun activities offered for all ages. Baker really enjoyed the the hay ride, petting farm, hay slide, corn maze, horse ride...he just loved it all and the kettle corn really topped it off!

Baker's 1st horsey ride. He wasn't so sure at first...he was really holding tight to Daddy.

Which one do you like the best, farmer?
