It's broken!

Well this is what it looks like to treat a broken humerus toddler style. After this weekend's fall from the swing set ladder, a broken arm is the diagnosis and a tough boy with some very large ace bandage and a sling is the cure. He's gonna do great (I think...it's the first night). He looks pretty happy in this first picture and Daddy is being a good friend in the background with his "bandage" on too. Wish us luck...only 3 more weeks to go. Good news is, "it could be worse."

Colorado June 2010

In June we went on vacation to Beaver Creek, Colorado with Grandmama and PawPaw. We had such a fun time and the pictures below can verify that. There are so many family/kid summer activities offered in the summer in the Rocky Mountains. Baker loved talking about the Rocky Mountains and between him and PawPaw we got to listen to a lot of John Denver's Colorado Rocky Mountain High!

We started the trip off in Idaho Springs, CO with lunch at Buffalo's and play time on an old train...you know who's favorite!!

Baker sat on this rock and watched the rafters float down the river.

"King of the ROCK"

When we got to resort, Baker got to check out the fun Jumping Bungee thing. He loved it.

At the Vail Village Farmers' market and fun festival Baker got to test out is "fiddle" playing skills.

Next we headed out to Glenwood Hot Springs to swim in the gigantic pools and Baker got to experience a super fun water slide. I think he rode it 7 times. "Again, Again!!!"

Nice view and in 90 degree water and 75 degree outside temps...ahhhh!

"Again, again Daddy!"

After a fun day nothing satisfies better than a nice cool ice cream cone!

Eagle River that Eric and I rafted. No pics of us rafting...it was a little too rough for picture taking.

Glenwood Canyon, CO

Baker and Daddy go fishing...they didn't catch anything.

Baker's first ice skating experience...and it was an experience.

He would rather play in the ice.

We also got to take a train ride on a real locomotive from the 1800's. Baker was a big fan.

Waterfall view from the train.

We rode across this "Biga, biga bridge".

You can see the big bridge if you squint.

Next was the bus ride. The last day we told Baker we would do whatever he wanted to do that day and this was first on his list. We rode down and back up the mountain on the public transit bus. He LOVED it!
We played on the playground...

Checked out the plaza statues...

Played on the Splash Pad...
for a long time and it was fun!!!

and took a pony ride.

Oh, and feeding the ponies!

What a GREAT vacation!!!

Thomas Time!!!

Daddy and Baker went to ride Thomas in May. They had such a great, fun time. Check out this big guy on the big train.

They even had a petting zoo with Baker's favorite farm animal...COW!
All Aboard!!!
He loves a big slide.
All of this excitement can wear down a little guy.
Enough!
A nice ride in Clarabell.
